FIRE IN, FIRE OUT!

If you're trying to produce Supreme Rosin, you'll need to start with superior starting material. Whether its flower, trim, sift, or bubble, make sure you source the best to produce the best!

THE RIGHT MICRON

Using the right type of micron will substantially increase the yield and/or quality of your final product. General rule of thumb - Use >75 micron for bubble/sift and >90 micron for flower/trim. Adjust accordingly as you progress.

FILTER SIZE

If your filter is too big, your bag will expand beyond your plates, resulting in a blowout. Too small and your rosin will have to travel further on your hot plates, lowering the final quality. We recommend using bags that are 1.25 cm or 0.5 inch shorter than the width of your plates.

HUMIDITY LEVEL

To produce the most optimal yield, make sure your starting material is around 62% RH. A quick solution to maintaining your humidity is achieved by using a two-way humidity pack (Bovedas or Integra).

AVOID OVERFILLING

Most beginners, will try to pack as much starting material in each bag. This leaves little to no space for the bags to safely expand. This results in blowouts and low yields. Start off packing lightly until you fine-tune your skills.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS

Adjusting temperature can allow processors to manipulate and control texture and consistency. This is an important variable when processing. We recommend 85-105°C for flower/trim and 65-105°C for sift/bubble as good starting points.

TIMING

The general rule is to get your freshly pressed rosin off your heated plates as quickly as possible. The longer your starting material is exposed to heat, the higher the degradation of your valuable terpenes. A good starting point is one minute for sift/bubble and three minutes for flower/trim.

No. 2 | Avoid Empty Space

Gently hold your bag from the opening and shake gently till all your material is at the bottom with no void space.

No. 3 | Uniformed Thickness

Lay your loaded bag on a flat surface and press down using body weight to completely remove voids and creating a uniformed puck.

No. 4 | Cut Excess Filter

Fold excess flap and cut off filter leaving several centimeters to stay folded.

No. 5 | Load In Second Bag

Slide your first loaded bag into a second bag with seams on the opposite side as the first filter.
